The Mexican sage is a bushy shrub that grows 3-4 ft. tall and wide. It has hairy white stems, gray-green leaves and velvet like purple flower spikes that bloom summer through fall. This magnificent plant can used as a small tree or shrub. It is deciduous with graceful leaves which have a scarlet color in spring as it leafs out. They turn orange or yellow in fall. It is slow growing to 20', and requires shelter from hot winds. The leaves of this tree are small, light green in color, and deply lobed. This ground cover will grow 1-3' tall and has medium-size green leaves with purple or blue flowers that can bloom all year.

This large, hardy, deciduous tree has a growth habit that is broad and pyramidal in form. Its leaves are 4 lobed, and turn bright yellow in fall. During the late spring, greenish-yellow, tulip-like flowers will appear.
